STORY

Adé Toussaint Richardson was born in Johnson City, NY, and spent his early years in Binghamton before moving to Brooklyn, where he grew up on the border of Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights. Immersed in the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of his neighborhood, Adé found inspiration in the people around him, who later became the foundation for many of his characters. Introduced to American, European, and Japanese films by his father, Adé developed a love for film history at an early age. By fifteen, he was an avid film student, frequenting local theaters and building a personal video collection. His first taste of acting came through a role in an elementary school production of Oliver! which fueled his passion for the arts. Adé’s journey in film directing took shape at Brooklyn College, where he studied under Professor Robert Tutak. Today, he channels his talents in writing and directing to explore deeper truths about himself and the world. His work is a testament to his dedication to storytelling that reflects humanity in all its complexity.
