Bio Ade Toussaint Richardson was born in Johnson City, NY and spent his first few years in nearby Binghamton. His father introduced him to American, European and Japanese films and film history at an early age. By the time he was fifteen Ade was an avid film student, regularly patronizing neighborhood movie theaters and collecting videos. A part in an elementary school production of Oliver gave him taste for the theatre and fueled his passion for acting. Ade grew up on the border of Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights in Brooklyn, New York, benefiting from the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of the area. Then people in his neighborhood inspired the characters that he would create. Ade’s talent for film directing was developed at Brooklyn College, where he studied under professor Robert Tutak. Ade uses his passion for writing and directing to find greater truth about himself and the world around him.
